Note: As part of the Intentional Parenthood bundle, this journal is a fantastic resource to work through with a partner or co-parent. The prompts are nearly identical both for moms and dads to help parents deepen their understanding of one another, build connection and trust, and be intentional about nurturing a family system and legacy they are proud of.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PONDER QUESTIONS SUCH AS:
Day Two: Imagine yourself as the most pure and authentic mother you can envision. How do you act? Communicate? Interact with your child(ren)? What characteristics do you embody?
Day Six: Describe how you hope your child(ren) feel(s) every night as they fall asleep.
Day Eleven: Your child(ren) is/are told to write a letter to their mom, describing all of the reasons why they love you. Write that letter from your child(ren) to yourself.
Day Twenty-Seven: How might your own insecurities and beliefs be impacting your child(ren)’s ability to feel safe and honored as a fully expressed human being?
“‘Intentional’ can be defined as: conscious, deliberate, purposeful, and thoughtful. An intentional mother is one who has spent time thinking about why she is the way she is, how she desires to show up as a mom, the ways her thoughts and behaviors impact her child(ren), and areas of her life she may need to heal in order to protect her child(ren) from the influence of her own wounding. She has clarity on the legacy she hopes to leave and recognizes the steps that will lead her there.”
